The Sköna story
Our founder began his career as a cabinet maker for a kitchen company in Northern Europe, where he frequently handled repair calls for faulty cabinetry.
On one such visit, a severe snowstorm left him stranded at the roadside for hours. As he waited for rescue, he contemplated the situation and realized:
there had to be a better way.
That freezing experience sparked a philosophy: only construct cabinetry robust enough to stand the test of time, eliminating the need for frequent repairs or service calls. He dedicated himself to designing kitchens that could endure daily life and function perfectly for the home chef. That founding principle remains the standard Sköna lives by today.
